AED/POUZN: Indian Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Approve Zinc Treatment for Diarrhea

The Indian Ministry of Health & Family Welfare approved zinc treatment for diarrhea in India.

USAID and AED/POUZN are planning an event in mid-December to officially announce this change in government policy and to provide information on the WHO/UNICEF guidelines for the use of zinc treatment. Invitees will be from the public sector (including government regulators), NGOs, the private sector (including the Indian Academy of Pediatricians, the Indian Medical Association, and pharmaceutical companies), UN organizations, and international donors.
